Volke

1 year, 4 months: Found by Ashen, who gently coaxes him into coming to the Den. 

Volke is intimated by all the strange wolves - especially Sunshine, who is sharp-tongued and ignores most of his packmates, but is strangely persistent in his efforts to talk to Volke. As he spends more time in the pack, he grows to understand that Sunshine means no harm and even seems lonely. He tentatively starts to respond to the other wolf’s attempts at conversion, and the two quickly become close. 

1 year, 7 months: After spending a few months getting comfortable with his new home and packmates, Volke wants to pull his weight and asks to be assigned to a hunting party. To his surprise and bemusement, Sunshine demands to join as well - which their packmates find funny, for some reason - but when they are placed into the same party, Volke can't help feeling relieved that he'll be working alongside his friend rather than a team of strangers. 

1 year, 11 months: Volke and Sunshine grow into competent Hunters. Volke is pleased with his progress, but still feels discontent, as though something is wrong with his life. 

When Sunshine suddenly makes a romantic advance towards him, Volke realises that the problem is with their relationship: he cares deeply for Sunshine and wants something more than friendship. The two begin courting; both are delighted with this development.
