Sap Of New Birch, the leader of The Dusk Howlers, was not a liked wolf. She had been kicked out of her family, The Night Stalkers, for her brown fur. It was hard when they kicked her out but it was nothing new as they had always been somewhat of a horrible family. It was not long until she met Bug That Crawls On Tree who had been wandering around the Deciduous Forest - she didn't trust the wolf and kept her distance but when they both ended up trapped together in a hollow tree in a horrible thunderstorm.
Sap at first didn't hear the calling coming from the old hollow tree -- looking over to see another wolf and quickly heading over as the rain had already made her fur wet. At first, they didn't talk at all and sat in the quiet for a very long time until Bug struck up a conversation that lasted for a few hours or more. Sap brought up the idea of making a pack, Bug seemed to like the idea and agreed to be her deputy. This was a start to a well-known pack, The Duck Howlers, it was Bug's idea for the name - it made Sap chuckle.
Not a lot is known about the leader, Sap keeps to herself most of the time but Bug has started to break down the wall that she made around herself.
