He and Gilded Sand had three pups together in their first litter, but sadly one died of an infected bug bite before the pups could even be named. They posthumously named her Neveah.
When their second pup died, killed by coyoted, Elm Dapple struggled with guilt and feelings of failure- he should have been able to protect his family better. He and Gilded Sand named their fallen pup Celeste, and christened their only surviving pup Raza, meaning "hope".
