Gilded Sand

When one of Gilded Sand's pups died of an insect bite, before she and Elm Dapple had even named the pups, she couldn't help but think of how her little brother had also died before being named. Her mother, who knew how it felt, resolved to support her through the grieving process.

Gilded Sand and Elm Dapple posthumously named their daughter Neveah.

When their second pup died unnamed (this one killed by coyotes), Gilded Sand felt like she was cursed- or trapped in a nightmare. She and Elm Dapple named their fallen pup Celeste, and christened their only surviving pup Raza, meaning "hope".
