Biography
Tiger Meadow
10-16-2020
After they had gained quite a few members of their pack, Rouge had met up with a few packs to discuss trades. Her eyes held to the stage, watching as each trade was brought forth and auctioned out. There were herbs, toys, food, and many other things up for trade to the wolves who came here.
But there was a disgusting part about this auction. Packs could sell off their unwanted members to others. What they would be used for would be up to the pack itself. It was the way of the world, but it also introduced new bloodlines into other packs. Stronger bloodlines.
That was the reason Rouge was here. She needed a male who was of no relation to anyone in her pack. He would create the new bloodline between the females of her pack, only then could that male then find his pair bond. The role then would be given to a new male. Keeping their lines clean was important, it was something she learned in her old pack.
Her attention was soon brought back to the stage when she saw a glimpse of the next wolf. He was an adolescent, not quite a pup, but not an adult either. Fairly young and healthy, Rouge wondered why his pack wanted to get rid of him.
Taking an interested look, Rouge watched the young wolf stride across the stage. A red male with soft brown merle markings stood with his head held low, tail slightly tucked between his legs. The loud noises around him seemed to spook him, but he didn't care. His price was barked out, but many held their tongues.
He hadn't been paying too close attention until he heard the dreaded word, "Sold!" The male had no idea what lay ahead, but he knew it had to be better than what he had been through. Shifting his gaze up, the male was met with a green gaze. A wolf with red and black masking her brown color beckoned him to her.
He took slow steps, glancing back at his old pack for a moment before he went further. Rouge too was looking at his pack, but to one member in particular. His mother. As if in silent code, Rouge was telling his mother that she would care for him. This seemed to make the other female somewhat happy about the situation.
"Come," Rouge spoke gently, a soft smile given to him before she turned to trot away. She had claimed what she came for and now she needed to get back. The male followed her a little more closely than she expected, but she didn't mind it. To break the somewhat awkward silence, she spoke. "So, what may I call you?"
The young wolf glanced up at the other wolf, his ears still slightly pinned to his head. "I don't have a name." Which wasn't surprising, most wolves received their names once they found their place. He watched as the red wolf nodded her head in thought.
"Well, we will name you. You see, we have a very important need for a wolf like you." Rouge smiled at him which gave him a rather warm feeling. It took a few days for them to reach their homeland, the red male glanced around every so often. They had talked on their way here, mainly about his old pack.
Rouge had also talked to him about her own. He was excited to meet them all, but he was worried that he wouldn't live up to their expectations. Before they made it too far within, the two wolves were met by a blue light.
Rouge smiled while the pup was bewildered by the strange wisp before him. "What is that..?" He asked as the wisp began to shift about. It had now formed itself into a wolf-like creature. Not necessarily a wolf, but he couldn't explain it's looks too well. It had a skull of a deer with large antlers instead of that of a wolf.
"G'evening, my lord." Rouge dipped her head, flicking her tail at the pu to do the same. Which he did, his gaze never leaving the being before them. It spoke, but the pup didn't understand, though it seemed as if the female he traveled with did. She spoke to this being for a few moments, and they both looked at the male every so often.
Finally, Rouge nodded a final time and bowed towards the ethereal being once more. "Blessed be, Arawn. Thank you for your guidance." The two wolves watched as the other creature disappeared from their view. The male was still in shock before he noticed he was being spoken to.
The female chuckled before repeating what she had just said. "That was Arawn, young one. He came to give you your name. Would you like to hear it?" The young male nodded, slightly excited to hear what this strange being decided to call him. "Then welcome to our pack, Tiger Meadow."
Tiger once again gave a smile to his new Alpha, and Rouge returned it. As they walked once more, she explained to him who Arawn was and why he was here. Once they had reached her territory, the wolves who had been resting came to greet them. Tiger Meadow was greeted just as Rouge was. He felt as if he were finally home.
_____1/2 a month later_____
The day of his 1st lunar moon cycle had come. On that day, Tiger Meadow was finally told of his importance to the pack. Though he had been trained as a Scout, his true task was to create the next bloodline. While this bloodline wouldn't produce the Heir to their Alpha, it would produce Hunters, Scouts, and Pupsitters. Something the pack desperately needed.
The male took this role seriously. Once a female came into heat, she would meet with him unless Rouge specified otherwise. He knew that only once his role was completed only then could he find his pair bond. That was a day he couldn't wait for. Rouge had explained to him how the fates worked. Just like Frost's mother had explained to her.
____Two and a half Lunar Moons later____
Tiger Meadow was now at his prime, a beautiful wolf in general. The pack was beginning to fill with the sounds of playful yipping and laughter as pups were beginning to grow bigger. The last females of the pack had been bred and were carrying his pups when a soft, subtle scent hit his nose. It smelled like the chilled winter breeze with a hint of citrus.
Rouge had just gotten back into the camp, greeting different members, but Tiger wasn't interested. The scent was heavy behind Rouge, and the red wolf took notice of his interest. A smile drew it's way to her lips before she stepped aside. "And this beauty here is Solar Ice."
Rouge was right, she was beautiful. A beautiful white with a honey underbelly. Her eyes were a golden orange hue that he was lost in. Tiger trotted up to her, and shyly took in a deep breath. His voice trembled as he went to utter a small greeting.
"Hello…" The she-wolf stared at him at first, a small grin appearing before she returned the greeting. The bond between them solidifying as the days went on.
