Named after the Norse godess of love and destiny, with aspects of marriage, birth, home and family.
In the mythology she is the wife of Odin and daughter of Fjòrgyn, Frigg was quite beautiful and the most poweful goddess. She has her own hall, Fensalir (waterhall) and is often confused with Frøya.
Together with Odin, Frigg gave birth to Balder, Hod and Hermond.
Her messenger is goddess Gnå, which rides across the skies on her horse Hofvarpnir. Other goddesses connected to Frigg is Lin, whom protects any human Frigg wishes to offer protection. As well as Fulla, whom carries Frigg's box, looks after her shoes and knows all of Frigg's secrets.
Within Snorre's Ynglingesaga, Frigg becomes known for cheating on Odin with his brothers Vilje and Ve, during an event where Odin was on an adventure for too long and was thought to be dead.
In addition, the three stars within Orion's belt was in Norse mythology thought to be "Frigg's spinning wheel".
