Shade's ability has grown rapidly since he joined the pack. He's always had a minor ability of seeing the future, but the minute he joined the pack and started learning how to grow the ability, it has become more and more prominent in his life, possibly past the point of Meadow's ability. The main concern for Meadow is if he will be able to control it the more his ability grows.

"Your gift seems to be developing well," Shade jumps as the voice of Meadow echoes around the Seers cave. Returning from a hunt was always when Shade was the most tired, so he was expecting to get some sleep in before eventually having to go out with Marrow and Amber again to hunt for some food for the pack. He never expected Meadow to come in and talk to him though.
"Uh... yeah, it's uh... it's going alright," Shade says, not entirely sure what to do in this situation. While Meadow was still younger than him, Shade respected the other immensely for being a fair and honest pack leader. Meadow nods and moves to sit next to Shade.
"I have a question for you," Meadow begins. "Marrow. Is he a good teacher?"
Shade tilts his head, his ear flicking slightly. "Uh... yeah, totally. He's been helping me a lot with how to control it while it develops um... more,"
"That's good," Meadow says, his relief evident in his tone. "And you're getting along with him?"
"Yeah, of course," Shade says. While it may be true that Shade had developed just the tiniest bit of a crush on Marrow during their time and knowing it would never happen since Marrow was quite obviously interested in Amber, Shade still enjoys spending time with him whenever they have the chance.
"Don't worry," Meadow reassures. "He's not in trouble, Hornet and I we're just curious on how good of a teacher he is. Ash and Quicksand are eventually going to need a teacher, and I don't... necessarily have the time."
"Yeah, I get it," Shade says. There's a long awkward pause in the cave before Meadow stands up.
"I should probably be leaving. Cyclone should be returning from her scouting mission soon," he explains.
"Uh... okay," Shade says. Meadow turns around to leave. "Wait, um- shit, how do I say this..." once Shade speaks up, Meadow pauses and looks back at him.
"What is it?" Meadow asks, sounding slightly concerned.
"I'm... uh..." Shade stops for a moment to think over what he wants to say. "I'm... grateful. That you're our pack leader. And that you brought me in."
Meadow's eyes twinkle as he smiles at Shade. "I'm happy you feel that way, Shade,"
