Illuma is relatively new to Lightning Strike Pack. She hasn't been leading for long and only took on the role of alpha once Lola, the first alpha of the pack, named her as her successor before she joined their ancestors in the stars. Illuma didn't even join the pack until a season before Lola's death.
Thrush was the wolf who convinced Illuma to join his pack when Illuma was an adolescent who was kicked out of the pack she grew up in due to lack of space. It took Thrush a couple of days to convince her when he found her, but Illuma eventually found it hard to say no. After Illuma joined the pack, she and Thrush spend a lot of time together, and not long after Illuma was named alpha, Thrush asked her to be his mate.
