Taken from his litter as a pup, Zazikel was raised by Dumat despite the protests from his actual father. He was a rather rambunctious pup who always enjoyed play-fighting and training. Dumat and Razael were proud of the talent young Zazikel showed, but his lack of respect displeased them. The heir naturally grew to be rebellious against the wolf who took them away from their father and found ways to always bicker with them. For Dumat, this was not part of the plan they had for raising the right heir for The Kin.
When he reached a mature age, Dumat led Zazikel away from The Kin to enact a ritual that not even Razael knew he intention of. When the two wolves returned to the pack it was clear something had changed within the young heir. They began to stray away from their former friends, speak in tongues no one could understand, and worst of all, lash out in random bouts of aggression. It all came to a head when Zazikel did something none of The Kin could have expected: dragging Razael's corpse out of his den.
Now even Dumat fears what he has brought into The Kin.

As Zazikel grew older, his physical form slowly began to gain control of the spirit raging inside. With the help of their trusted companion Remus, the two wolves set out on a journey to break the chains confining the spirit to his body. The process of doing this took many months and not a single step of the way was easy. However, at the end of their travels, they had done it. They found the answers needed to undo the damage Dumat had done. But had it already been too late?
The Kin was torn in two because of Zazikel's volatile leadership, and when the two wolves returned to their territory they found their once united pack biting at each other's throats. The pack was able to fight back against those who wished to tear down The Paragon's power, but it came at a cost. The Kin lost many wolves through its fighting, and Zazikel was no longer the strong wolf he used to be. Expelling the spirit from his body had taken a bigger toll on him than he could have expected. 5 years old was not the age of a young wolf, but most strangers would think he was fit to retire with the way he limped now. The only thing that stayed with Zazikel was his sharp mind and his compassionate heart. Things were finally going to change within The Kin. It just had to start with him.
