"Tell me it's not true!" she cried out, following after her mate. The other wolf lowered his head, shame clearly written across his muzzle. There was no reason for this shame though, he had caught a disease that would wind up with him weak and frail within a month and he wouldn't subject his mate to that. Nemuri couldn't believe it from the pack leader, and the silence from her mate only confirmed it. Her graying muzzle up pulled itself down into a frown and she pushed up against the sick wolf. He whined in response and only said "I'm sorry Nemuri, I have to go." She nodded, a sorrowful "I know" leaving her.Nemuri's mate left the pack on 9/10/21
She just wasn't the wolf she was before, her muscles and joints screamed as she chased the prey and she simply wasn't keeping up with the newer hunters. Most of her previous friends, and her mate she presumed, had already passed on and were resting comfortably in the Aether now. It was only when her mate left the pack did she step down from her hunting role, asking to take on the position her old friend once held before he passed.Nemuri retired from Hunting: Chasing on 9/7/21 with 100% Proficiency
The leader had agreed to let her become the pack mentor, a role only for the elders and the wise. Only one other wolf had this position before, an elder male who went by Atsuhiro. He too was a hunter back in the early days of the pack that went on to become the mentor. She was honored that she was allowed this role and vowed to make good on her promise of keeping the old ways alive. Nemuri was given the title of Mentor on 9/10/21
