Rumi only knew of the old wolf by the role she was taking over. He was the pack's previous chaser, and a damn good one too, and he left the pack after he had gotten sick. It was a terminal illness, one that would turn him into something that he didn't want his mate to see. After some debate with the alpha, they allowed him to leave, and so started the search for a new chaser. That's where Rumi came in, along with Himiko who took Nemuri's spot after she stepped down.
