One of Polar and Bear's children. Though he may resemble his strong, bold father, Cub's the most timid and fragile of their pups. He's also somewhat of a "mama's boy", sitting out the mischief in favor of sticking close to Polar. Because of this, Hoar often uses him as a go-between to the get the scoop on what the others are doing, so that she can tattle on them. However, Cub doesn't always stay behind, as he'll sometimes give into pressure from North and go along with him.
Cub is undecided about which role he wants to take on, as both hunting and scouting seem very daunting to him. Really, all Cub wants to do is make his family proud. He would ultimately settle on hunting, as he preferred staying close to home rather than venturing into unknown territory.
Overtime, as he would go on to join the Shards, Cub would find hunting a struggle. He began to think he would never own up to his role in the pack. North told him about his task to find the glacier, and though was initially resistant, North convinced him they could make their parents and their pack proud. As such, together with Robin, they would set for journey to the glacier.
Cub has admitted to North that he has a crush on Steam. Since they rejoined with Rime in the Tundra, Cub has been getting close to Steam, but had yet to confess his true feelings to her.
But after all this time spent with her, Cub was finally able elope with Steam and become her mate. They would have three puppies together, named Gale (who's name was inspired by Billow), Cedar, and Turkey. Cub would decide to take a break from hunting to care for his children with Steam.
During the battle against Smoke's army over the glacial rift, Cub would unfortunately lose the love of his life Steam, who fought bravely and defiantly against her mother's legion. Although he knew she had done it for the good of her pack, he would fall into a deep depression that would make it difficult for him to move on with life.
