One of Alp and Shale's children. Pine shares in common with his sister, being the nicest among his siblings. However, Pine can be a bit of pushover, and, as a pup, was often at the receiving end of his brother Bark's bullying. Luckily, he had his sister Coal there to stand up for him.
Now that they're older, Pine and Bark are learning to cooperate as hunters, with Pine taking the lead as stalker.
Following the death of his father during their journey to the tundra, Pine would take over as leader of recently-formed Flakes, at his brother's request.
However, tensions would rise between the brothers again, as Pine and Bark would end up fighting over Brook for her affection. After a particularly troublesome spat, Brook would end up choosing Pine over Bark. Meanwhile, the brothers would become rivals once more.
Meanwhile, he and Brook would go on to have the first set of Rime puppies born in the tundra.
