Bought this beautiful lady while on a break in Yukon, OK for the OBA State Finals. Watching my son and his bandmates leave it all out on the field that night and become State Champions was a magical experience. Door 13 was the name of the 2021 Pride of Piedmont Show and this lovely lady is named in honor of them and their performance.

Bit of a rollercoaster day at this contest. "Officially" met the girlfriend, ran into a beloved former teacher, and went through some growing pains/hurt feelings with fellow band mates.

Prelims lineup to go to warmups

Starting to learn the ropes, but still almost missed the finals performance while rushing stuff back to camp from Gush N Go. This is where I swore we wouldn't do it again unless Tyler wanted us to. Of course, he did.

Our first Contest & exposure to the all day chaos of volunteer helper, gush n go, and being Band Parents.

And our first clue that Tyler was in the process of getting another girlfriend.

A really fun day with a lot of learning curves (dehydration is bad and tapping the water cooler will not deprive the kids of a drink). My only regret is that I did not this time, or any other time (despite numerous attempts) get on video the SpongeBob ritual between Mr. Rivera and the kids.
