"If the sky is what gives us life, then does that mean that wolves down the mountain are less alive? Does cousin Tikaani know?"
This blue wolf is stretched out some distance away from the majority of the pack's youngsters, and seems to be asking peculiar questions to any wolf that comes within earshot. You see that there are several scratches in the dirt near their front paws, some in lines and others in strange shapes and patterns.
As the nephew of the pack's ruling pair, Rain receives some undeniable leniency when it comes to their strange behavior. Prone to waking up at night and wandering about speaking with smaller animals, they aren't known for their ability to forge bonds with other wolves. On the contrary, quite a few of the other wolves wrinkle their noses whenever you mention Rain's name. Rain's mother, Wren, is very protective of her pup, but her position as a huntress keeps her from spending much time with them outside of meals and sleep.
Rain, now an adult, has followed in their mother's pawprints and become a hunter. Their hunting party is comprised of other "high-born" wolves like themself. The only wolf in the party not related to the leading family is Tumbleweed, and even she is the daughter of the second-in-command and herbalist of Shenandoah, Falcon. Rain does not realize that being a member of such a hunting party is yet another mark against them in the eyes of their fellows.
