Nea's eyes filled with tears. She was so proud of how far her son had come. She wanted to come with him so badly, but she forced herself to stay. The pack needed her. Besides, he told her that he'd come home. She new it would be months or years, but as long as she got to see him one last time she was happy. It was years later when a ragged looking wolf stumbled into the pack, he never did say his name but he came with a story. His pack had gone to shambles and many wolves had been chased off to fend for themselves. He and Blurb where two of those wolves. He talked about how they had stayed together and survived for a while, but unfortunately, Blurb fell ill and he had to leave the dying wolf behind. "WHAT!? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY SON!" Nea screamed at the loner, taking a step in his direction eyes swelling from her tears. "YOU KEFT HIM TO DI-" "Nea...." Pinestep's voice was gentle behind her. "Is this how he would have wanted you to react? He would want you to be thankful that this kind wolf was by his side through tough winters and gentle springs. Your pup probably begged him to carry on without him." Nea dropped her head, a droplet slid off her cheek and splatter on the ground next to her paw. It landed in one of the tiny paw prints that had been left by Blurb when he was a pup. PineStep resting his muzzle over her neck and placed his Paw beside hers next to the disturbed ground. The old wolf limped away to continue his journey. The next day the sun glimmered through an unusually gorgeous sunrise. The orange and yellow hues didn't fail to remind Nea of her sun and his goldeny brown patches. He wasn't going to be carried home with his pads, but she knew he was home nonetheless.
