It is well-known by now that Dawnrise acts as a passage and rest stop for many wolves looking to journey to find their purpose. Unlike most wolves who seem aimless as they pass by Dawnrise, Mockingbird arrived with a specific thought in-mind - she aimed to meet and study Dawnrise's newest Herbalist - and incidentally newest Pack Shaman as well - named "Dove". Wolves say that Dove's mere presence could calm wolves down and soothe their hearts.
Mockingbird had an interest in the floral arts and hoped to become good enough to eventually be an Herbalist herself - "magic" seemed too far out of her reach for her to hope. But the wolves' murmurs insisted that Dove's methods were not magical and she just had to see for herself.
Indeed, Dove was a unique character. Upon speaking with him she noticed his voice was quite soft and she could tell the rumors were true. A softly-spoken voice, a soft demeanor, and a very mute, calm look - just about everything on Dove spelled "calmness" to her. From calmly teaching his apprentice, Adder, to calmly applying medicines to wounds minor and grave, Dove seemed to keep his cool when it seemed impossible. In an intense state of awe, Mockingbird appealed to become an apprentice to Dove alongside Adder - and like most things, Dove calmly agreed.
With her new apprenticeship to Dove - and her increasing admiration for him growing every day - Mockingbird sent word back to her old pack that she would not be returning. Thus beginning her new life as a member of Dawnrise Pack - and the beginning of a budding love between two calm birds.Additional information:
