Chert was born in a pack known as the Cursed Tombstone Pack. Bred a chaser, she was the best out there the pack had ever seen, and was treasured greatly.
Chert was treated like royalty. As she grew up, she grew more snobbish, getting whatever she wanted just by doing what she liked doing; hunting.
However, everything changed on one fateful day. While Chert was chasing down a deer, as usual, another wolf, unbeknownst to her, had been stalking her, silent as the night. As she pounced, killing the deer in a single blow, the other wolf also pounced, on Chert.
It was not a slow fight, Chert decimated and left on the ground unconscious to die.
The chaser woke up away from home, with no memories of getting to where she was. All she knew was that there were wolves around her, and one in front of her, who went by Vivaldi.
They askeed where she was from, and Chert explained- how she was a capable chaser and raised as such, until suddenly a wolf attacked her. She didn'tk now how she got her.
Vivaldi glanced to another wolf, a red one, who Chert would soon learn was named Dravite, who nodded. Vivaldi then said that her pack, the Ashen Stalkers, were looking for move chasers, and that Chert could join, but she would be on thin ice.
