Azure

In Azure's old pack, he was seen as a freak as he was a pure black wolf. They did not know of mutations as Azure had been the first one in their pack with such a thing. Everyone used to ignore him, even his own birth family started to act cold towards him. None of the pups wanted to play with him as he was a "demon" because of his odd fur color.

One day his mother asked him to follow her for a surprise and he was very excited as he never had a surprise before, much less had gone anywhere with his mother alone. He was beaming with joy as they traveled to the side of the mountain to a big cave. His mother told him to go inside and wait for her to return with the present so he sat down and nodded. His mother never returned to him but he waited for half of the month. He ate scraps from what he found to be other animals leftovers and drank water from a nearby stream.

Until one night, he heard movement within the cave and when he opened his eyes he saw a wolf standing before him. At first he froze with fear before the wolf nuzzled him and backed away walking out of the cave, turning back to stare at him. Azure stood up and followed after the male without saying a word, the wolf brought him to the a pack and what he assumed to be the alpha walked up to them. The alpha, Arctic, looked at Azure analyzing him before nodding and saying, "Welcome to the Opossum Pack, little wolf. What is your name?" Azure looked over at the wolf who took him here, and the wolf gave an encouraging nod. He looked at Arctic, "My name's Azure."

Later on after eating a real full meal for the first time in a month and going to the herbalist whose name was Romantic, he discovered the wolf who brought him here was named Midnight. He instantly started to cling to him and was adopted by Midnight who was a gentle father towards him, he was nothing like his parents before and saw the pack as his family. Anyone he asked almost always played with him and his favorite wolf to play with was California Love as he was the herbalist's apprentice. He usually played with the alpha's pups while his father watched them and when they left, he would follow California Love around though it seemed like he did not mind the pup's company and taught him a little about the herbs he got.
March 9th

When Azure became an adolescent, he enjoyed learning about herbs and medicines more and more. He had found them fascinating as how if you put these once simple herbs all together, you get something that can cure things from not deadly diseases to ones that can wipe out entire packs populations. He began to follow Romantic around more often than his own father, who encouraged his interest in herbs and medicine. He still wanted to be around his best friend, California Love but he started to go cold towards him.

A few weeks later, Romantic announced between the two adolescents that he was taking Azure as his apprentice. California Love was furious and demanded to know why he was being replaced by Azure as he had spent longer time with Romantic and had more skills and knowledge than him. Romantic did not answer his question and dismissed him. From that day onward California Love had been resentful of Azure and has even attempted at sabotaging his work. It was when Azure confronted him when their friendship ended, "You have taken the only thing I had!" That's when Azure turned his back on California Love but within his heart, California Love was his brother and his best friend.
