Hope After the Storm
Everybody always talks about the "Calm before the storm" - and although it is a good reminder and warning to take cover and protection before things get hectic, there is another type of calm during a storm that no one ever seems to talk about.
And that is the "calm after the storm".
When the sun begins to slowly reappear and shine from behind dark clouds, sometimes a bright, gentle rainbow will appear amidst an otherwise dreary sky. Devastation happens so much and so often, sometimes it's hard to remember that things can - and will - become okay again.
Although Tiger knows the storm he arrived on the heels of at Dawnrise wasn't his fault, he still can't help but feel guilty sometimes - with his name, he sometimes wonders if maybe it was a strange sign? Maybe there's more to him than he realizes? But, instead he keeps these thoughts to himself and holds them tight, not wanting the doubts to overshadow his confidence in keeping the Pack happy and healthy.
After his messy partnership with Ripple, Tiger took time to heal and spent time with his estranged son, Strike, away from the Pack... Occasionally the two would rest for awhile at Dawnrise before heading back out, and in that small time, Tiger would befriend a gentle and friendly young wolf with a warm smile by the name of Sunspots.
When Tiger felt like Strike could be fine on his own, Tiger went back to Dawnrise Pack. There he found that soft, sunny wolf with a warm smile waiting for him. Although very trepidatious at first, the two began to bond slowly.
The first litter the gentle coupling had ended up with two bright "sunny" daughters. One of the daughters Sunspots named and the other Tiger named.
Named similarly to Strike and carrying on the "family's" Storm-ing legacy, Storm's Hope - also just simply known as "Hope" - was named beautifully by her father after feeling reinvigorated and hopeful in life again after the two sunny pups were born.
Storm's Hope is a very gentle and curious girl, who enjoys using her imagination. Knowing how much joy she brings to her two parents, she tries to spread that joy whereever she goes. Although she knows sometimes things can get dark and sad, she always tries to bring the sun with her, showing other wolves that hope sometimes isn't so far away.
