Canyon is a capable young pup who spends much of his time running about with Ember under the care of their pupsitters. He's well-developed and despite having been left at the borders, doesn't seem to have any diseases nor deformities. Phantom is keeping a close eye on him, but seems pleased that his daughter has a close friend to enjoy life with.

Canyon continues to impress the pack with his dedication and ability to retain knowledge. He breezes through his lessons, and always shows an eagerness to learn more. His favored playmates now include Ember and Granite, with the three playing chase frequently through camp. Not even 5 months old yet, Canyon stands as one of the largest of the pups.

Canyon still towers over his fellows now that he is an adolescent. His uniquely marked fur lends itself well to camouflaging on hunts, and he is frequently accompanying more experienced wolves on their finisher duties. His willingness to learn and his attentiveness to detail all have endeared him to his mentors. He remains close friends with Ember and Granite, who are also training to be future hunters, and the three often travel together on these outings. They can be found afterwards practicing the new techniques they learned on and with each other.

Canyon continues to remain close friends with Ember, often flanking one of her sides while Tumble flanks the other. All three of them have their own little group, and it is no secret that the adults expect them to become a new hunting patrol someday.

Canyon has always been at the heels of his friends Ember and Tumble, since they were pups. However, the dream of them all being on the same hunting team has long been shattered. Instead they were used to fill in on other teams, rather than forming their own...and the other two have even fallen in love and become mates...it's all a bit much for Canyon, who sometimes feels rather alone, especially stuck as the only other member in Epiphany's hunting party. Nevertheless, the two males work well together and even throughout winter were reliably bringing down prey. Now, with spring around the corner, and changes brewing in the pack, Canyon struggles with both wanting to be with his friends...and his newfound appreciation for Epi.
