Cypress

This gorgeous Dedicated older female is one of the 'senior' members of the pack, but you wouldn't know it by how hard she works. She assists on several hunts a day and teaches the pups and adolescents alike how to get work done. Her calm demeanor and endless loyalty have earned her favor with Phantom, and he often seeks her advice on various matters.

Cypress is the other older wolf of the pack. She's been around longer than Maple, and has quite the reputation as a dedicated huntress. When the pack had been looking for another wolf to stand as Stalker while Fate whelped her pups, Cypress stepped up to the task. Now she leads the secondary hunting party as Fate takes over the primary one once more. She has just had her own litter of pups, and though they are not her first, she loves them dearly.

Cypress continues to raise her pups to be devoted, contributing members of the pack, while also leading her hunting party on many successful trysts. She is highly respected amongst the pack, even by Phantom himself, and is one of the few wolves able to get him to stop to eat something instead of overworking so much. Her time is divided between her duties and relaxing with Maple, the two often approached by the youngsters for stories and snuggles. She recognizes in herself that she is getting older, and is slowly beginning the search for a successor to take over leadership of her hunting party.

Cypress, much like her companion Maple, is also getting older. She has watched two of her four pups find new homes in other packs, and the remaining two be trained to be strong, reliable members of this pack. Though they are still young, she can see great things in their futures, and hopes that she gets to live to see them grow to adulthood. She's focused on leading her hunting party and being sure that Maple doesn't overdo things.

Cypress has retired from her role as a leader of a hunting party in the pack, and now serves as the secondary mentor alongside her dearest companion, Maple. Her own pups are adolescents and rapidly growing into young adults, learning everything and rushing back to tell it all to her. She is pleased by their eagerness and devotion to the pack, and thrilled to be able to live to see them grow and change. Cypress looks forward to the day Maple's pups are born, so that they can raise them together the way Maple helped with her past litter.

Cypress is delighted to take up the mantle of mentor, frequently taking pups on field trips into the areas surrounding camp to show them hunting or scouting skills that will be necessary to their survival later in life. She is especially proud of her own remaining pups who are training for future roles in this pack or another, and spends as much time with them and Maple as possible. Though she knows that she has no claim to the pups Maple bears, she can't help but think of them as 'their' pups, and vows to protect them with her life.
