Adam bears the burden of the Firebrand, and with it the role of pack leader. The Firebrand shoulders the most brutal emotions of the haunt - the pain, the outrage, the desperation. It's a raw deal that leaves him with great anger and a profound sense of duty, but it also positions him as the ideal leader of the pack, being the most in tune with the haunt's deepest wants and the most motivated to lay its tormented souls to rest.
