Crowcall

Pre blazing ashes
Crowcall was born into a large pack under the leadership of a kind but strong wolf named Fir. Crowcall or crow as he was called in his former pack, started as a scout apprentice. However, Crow found the solitude of the role depressing. With the permission of the leader and his mentor, Crow started training as a hunter, which he excelled in. Shortly after Crow had become a full hunter and was assigned to a patrol, Fir sadly passed. Talon, who was the successor of the previous leader ruled with clamped jaws. They sent more and more scouts and hunting patrols into enemy territories, leading to bloody battles and a horrific waste of life. It was within one of these battles Crow witnessed his patrol mates be killed. Horrified at what the pack had become Crow fled into the nearby forest. While hunting Crow stumbled upon a Patrol for a pack he wasn't familiar with. leading him to follow a beautiful sand-colored wolf to their leader. Impressed with Crow's skills the orange-eyed leader offered a secure place within his pack.

Ashblaze gave Crow the name Crowcall, and assigned them to Icefern's hunting patrol. Soon he grew a tight bond with Icefern and Sandstep... well mainly sandstep. Crowcall became mates with Sandstep, fathering Silver, Gold, and adopting Chrome. Shortly after his pups were weaned Ashblaze announced that he would become Blazing ashes' first deputy. He was honored that Ashblaze and Icefern trusted him so. Crowcall is excited to watch his pups grow and vows to remain forever loyal to his new pack.

"what happened?!"
"silver and Gold are missing!"
Crowcall remembers the moment all to well, his two precious puppies gone in a spilt second. The whole pack started desperately looking for them Crowcall watched as Chrome exhausted herself looking for their adopted sisters. Songpelt had been frantic too, darting around the whole camp. It wasn't until dusk that their little bodies were found. A starving badger had found them and brutally killed them. Sandstep and Chrome were devastated, and Crowcall grieved in silence for his lost children.

Its been months since Crowcall and Sandstep have had children, afraid of failing them. While taking a walk Sandstep wished to vist the Enclave, the place in which she grew up in. The reunion between the bear and his mate had been beautiful.

"Sandstep my dear i wish to ask you a question."
"ask away mother."
"i have a puppy here that I believe would be a perfect match for you and Crowcall."

"slow down!"
It's been seasons since crowcall found his place within the pack. Crowcall knows he is growing old, and soon he won't be able to keep up with the younger members of the pack.
Discussing his fear with Ashblaze, Crowcall's mind was put at ease.

"As my deputy and as my friend I say this wholeheartedly Crowcall, did you really think that the pack would abandon those who have grown old?"

"I'm just asking! It would help me to know what will happen."

"I'm working on creating another den for elders where you and the others can rest, maybe mentoring the pups perhaps?"

Though Crowcall has moved to the elder's den the battle scarred deputy is still a formidable fighter. Sandstep jokes that her mate will die serving his pack, battling and hunting.
