Onyx generally stays near the pack's den, since their job is training pups. Though most pups dislike them, they're an effective teacher. She's kind of like Calendula, actually, bad at expressing emotions and looking perpetually annoyed on the outside. They don't love their assigned mate, Buzzard, but they tolerate each other, and Onyx can tell Buzzard prefers to be left alone. They only have one surviving pup, Starling, and though they couldn't be more different, Onyx is very protective of him.
