Peak is, primarily, driven by his family. His mother, Snowdrop, is in the elder's den, and his sister, Riverstone, was born blind. He spent his childhood a half-step behind Riverstone, refusing to give up on her despite her bad eyes, always by her side to help her learn to walk and talk to other wolves without too much struggle. As they grew up and Snowdrop got older, he took over helping her, too, juggling his role as a chaser to help her out in the nursery as a pupsitter. To this day, he checks on Riverstone and Snowdrop every day after he's done hunting, bringing them extra snacks he might've caught to make sure they'd had enough to eat. On his own, he's quite insecure, and often brings up Riverstone and Snowdrop in conversation, worried about them whenever he's not directly near them. Snowdrop primarily finds his behavior endearing --she loves both of her pups with all of her heart and is glad they're as close as they are. Riverstone often ping-pongs between finding it sweet and a little irritating --she cares about Peak, too, obviously, but his behavior is often a little overbearing, and she doesn't really like being treated like she's something fragile. Peak is also somewhat friends with Twig, mainly through Riverstone, since they talk a lot about the possibility of Twig's eventual pups turning out blind like her.
