Biography
Who doesn't love a good old rebellion? It is a classic tale that inspires many to speak up and be themselves. Sometimes, though, some get to live that rebellion as a reality.
Night Breeze came from a pack that rarely let her out. She was a girl, she couldn't explore! She hated her pack's mindset against all of the female wolves there. But the other ladies just... obeyed! She hated it. She would always ask to leave with the patrol, but the leader always said no. She wanted to see the world, and being cooped up made her mad.
She talked to her male friend, Timber Bark, and he said that a lot of the other male wolves actually want the female wolves to help. He told her that it was getting hard to feed all of the pregnant wolves, the nursing wolves, and the little pups without much help. There was only ten male wolves, including the leader, but 20 queens and pups. They decided to speak up, and a lot of the wolves in the pack backed them up. But the leader refused, and told Night Breeze that if she wasn't going to except her place in the world, she would just have to leave. So she did. And so did Timber Bark. And the next wolf. And the next wolf. And the next wolf. Soon, Night Breeze, Timber bark, 6 other male wolves, 2 pregnant wolves, and a nursing mother with 3 pups had left.
The leader got anxious, and tracked them down, begging that they rejoin, and that he will change the rules. Most agreed, but when Night Breeze was asked, she declined. "I have finally escaped that stuffy camp after being in there all my life. Why would I head back when I have the world to explore?"
She left, and stayed on her own until she met River Runner. They hit it off pretty quick, and she agreed to help him make his pack, and he promised her the world. That is all she could ever ask for.
She visited her old pack after a little while. They were still her family. As it turns out, not long after she left, Timber Bark had overthrown the old leader, and was now leading a very happy pack that got to do as they please and everyone was helping feed.
Night Breeze walks through the entrance of camp, a hare in her mouth. She wags her tail in greeting.
