Gwynnliol

Allthough he can come across as a bit holier than thou at first glance, Gwynnliol truly believes his pack is somehow 'chosen' above the others, and any who join it are as well. He's very sweet once his trust is earned.

Gwynnliol has proven an exceptional stalker so far, and prides himself in 'sniffing out sinners ready to be ripped out of their territory by the root'. ...Food as well. Either way, his nose is sharper than a cougar's claws. So is his paternal instinct, much to Symone's glee. The pale wolf still has a glint of jealousy when Alioth and Alkaid spend so much time with their mother, but it is quickly snuffed out when they bound over to him after a hunt, tugging on his tail and his ears begging for hunting stories.

It felt a little odd still that Buyan would ask him for pups, even as a breeding male. His heart is with Symone, but she reassures him that their bond doesn't waver with each litter he helps bring to the Stonefangs. Besides, it is clear her eyes are not on Gwynn if that's what worries him. Oddly enough, she's often looking Tern's way, but the wolf wants pups regardless of the pale Scout, and having known the want for a litter in himself and Symone, he stepped up to his role with no complaints.

The arrival of new wolves at first was intriguing but at the same time disquieting. Though they adapted well to the pack, (or were in the road to, in Céfiro's case) Gwynnliol worried for the food and medicine situation, making sure his team was as careful as it was precise. Irena's tantrums could be heard even more to boot. Something about not being special anymore... Thankfully Buyan and Tern handled her with discipline, so maybe she'd calm down soon?

Gwynnliol didn't think Irena would ever approach him without demands or pup-like protests, much less crying. He isn't even the lead of the pack to bring grievances to, but he soon found out why Irena came sniffling to him instead of Symone or her own mother. Both the lead and Buyan have been incredibly stern with her - rightly so - and Irena feared that her troubles would be dismissed brutally like all her peacocking had been. She needed something softer. She needed comfort.

He had never been a father to her, such had been the arrangement, but Gwynnliol felt pain when the young hunter's lip quivered when she asked if everyone hated her, if she was less than, or if she was just... Ugly. She felt ugly. And that she had nothing else to offer. She felt stupid just admitting that, she'd be shooed away for sure, but instead the older wolf licked behind her ears and curled his neck over her shoulder. "No, you're not ugly, or less than. It's one thing to dicipline you into a proper Stonefang, and another to hate you. No one hates you." He took her to Methuselah after licking her face free of dirt and tears.

Now with a pretty crown of arnica flowers to match her father's, Gwynnliol thinks she'll be alright. The crown will wither, but his words remain in her mind, and now her temper subsides, mellows, matures.
