Taiga

Taiga was born to Greed and Hounddog in the Moon Shines Radiantly pack, unlike many Dawn Yet Ventured packmembers who were born in rogue family groups. She was raised alongside her brother Hoot, who she was never really close with, but still loved him nonetheless. Hoot was set on becoming the next pack leader when his father died, but Taiga wasn't interested in that type of thing. When Hoot finally succeeded his father Hounddog, problems arose.. Hoot, who had a couple mates and was expecting many pups, argued that Taiga needed to stay in the pack with him. There were rogues who had been stealing prey from Moon Shines Radiantly's territory, and Hoot suspected that they would kill his pups once they were born if not taken care of. The rogues had proven too strong to kill and too smart to catch, but Hoot had somehow managed to meet with them and create a deal. The lead rogue, Porcupine, desired a pretty female to bear his pups and turn his scrappy little rogue group into a real pack. Hoot had agreed to turn Taiga as well as a couple other females to Porcupine— but they had to join Moon Shines Radiantly in order to gain the females. Porcupine agreed, so now in order to save his pups Hoot had to make sure Taiga stayed with the pack. Taiga was disgusted, unlike the other females who were excited for strong, hardy males to father their pups. Taiga had dreamed of getting out of Moon Shines Radiantly, a pack where she felt she had no use— she wanted to live free and mate with a wolf that she truly loved. Taiga tried to leave Moon Shines Radiantly, but it was no use. Hoot made sure she was on lockdown, waiting for Porcupine's arrival. When Porcupine arrived, Taiga lured him into a private den with the prospect of conceiving pups— and bit into his throat quickly before he could think. She then found a hole in the den and snuck out of it, running as fat and as fast as her legs would take her. When she smelled Moon Shines Radiantly packmembers on her tail, she panicked and jumped into the river, grabbing a hold of a passing log. She floated all the way into the mountains from the Coniferous forest, and that is where she found Dawn Yet Ventured pack. She is now more than just a pretty face in the pack— though she does plan on having cubs quite soon.
