Though younger by a margin than Kingpin, Deluge is Kingpin's favorite mate and one of his best friends. Deluge first met Kingpin when she was six months old and newly orphaned. Kingpin, who had just set off from the River Has No End pack, found her alone and afraid huddled in the snow. He took her in, and though at first he was just a protective older figure, Deluge knew she had feelings for him ever since she was nine months old. The two traveled alone together and when Deluge was a year old, she confessed her feelings to Kingpin. She wasn't sure how he would take it, but when he returned them, the two embraced and agreed to be mates. Kingpin is waiting to have pups until he has a bigger pack, and Deluge is a loyal follower who of course will stand by him.
