2020/10/31Being second in command is tough. Not only do I have to manage the pack and get whilst pack leader is gone, I have to take care of my 2 pups, and I as beta I am also the lead hunter! that is just so much!
those first 2 hunts where successful where I managed to get a Black tail all on my own which pleased my partner pack leader. Admittedly I was concerned about joining her pack but I see now that is not such a problem as phantasma has quickly proven her charisma and management skills by befriending a new wolf named Sanguine. I was only slightly wary of Sanguine's skills but that quickly proved as unfounded when on our first hunt together they managed to not only track down the sent right away but we worked extremely well together and managed to catch a pheasant! Pack leader has been busy getting a few lessons on how to run the pack well by a strange black wolf. they seem to be picking things up pretty quick. pack leader has a tough job indeed. they allowed me to tag along there lessons so that I knew the basic of what they where doing. They commended me and sanguine for our work and called the rest of the day off.
2020-11-1 Pack leader had Sanguine do a scouting mission which they succeeded and then had them rejoin me in my hunting party. Pack leader is talking with that black wolf again-oh pack leader and the black she wolf wandered off. I wonder what that was about...?
hey! Pack leader has managed to bring back another wolf to join us! there name is Snoreswift and they seem quit lazy. I doubt they will do there job right. Is pack leader sure they wanna bring in a dead weight? WOW! was I wrong! pack leader sure know what they are doing! Snoreswift worked very well on the hunt! eh? Pack leader removed Snoreswift from the hunt and sent them to scout as well. Is this a trail pack leader has come up with? SNORESWIFT DID AMAZING! How did pack leader know Snoreswift would be so good at scouting?
Me and sanguine caught another pheasant. there sure are a lot of them. Pack leader had me get my fertility check for some reason when we got back. she got hers checked as well. is she planning on having pups for the pack? but with who?
Pack leader Phantasmagoric has befriended a new wolf named Ancillary. Pack leader gave them the important role of Pupsitter. They really are planning on having pups! oh, I am the one pack leader planes on having provide the packs first litter. huh. Apparently it is due to the fact that pack leader gets in a lot of fights and doesn't want to put the pups at risk. I can't say I disagree with that. Pack leader gets injured a lot. It is because they trust me as the second in command they set me to be the first litters mom. They said that they haven't decided with who yet though..
they had me and intrepid breed a new wolf brought in. the pups look great and I look forward to there contribution to the pack.

Intrepid is a abhorred hunter! where it not for pack leader the food pile would be empty! even worse that not only is it almost winter but one of the pups could have inherited his complete incompetency in hunting! If it was not for pack leader the pups would be in danger of starvation at this rate!

I told pack leader we should chase him out for his blatant incompetency in hunting, and Pack leader instead apparently for some reason BEYOND me, decided that I would instead teach him proper hunting techniques. *growls in rage* This is OUTRAGEOUS I have pups for moon's sack! I don't have time to be dealing with such a dead weight!

Intrepid was FAR from the best hunter at first but it would be a lie to deny that they made progress. they managed succeed in far more often than they did first starting out. I still say that Pack leader is loony for keeping him. My pups are doing well mostly thanks to the Pup Sitter Ancillary as I have not been able to watch them while I am hunting.

Intrepid has Improved significantly. he managed to catch 3 food items already. Pack leader, Healer, Pup Sitter Ancillary and I all discussed what to do with the pups that had been weened. We all agreed to make Phantrepid a scout and Intrasma a chaser. I am not thrilled with being stuck with the offspring that looks like intrepid but if it means extra help come winter and no longer having to shuffle our roles then I can deal with it. Phantrepid and Snoreswift have similar personalities anyways so the should work together just fine. Since we where all together we then took some time to get all caught up on our planes for the pack. Pack is saving up to get more territory slots to make room for them. Pack leader is still clearing our territory dangers. It looks like it will be a while. Pack leader is often gone from the pack 2-3 days at a time and always come back injured. it is very concerning but it is apparently a sacrifice one makes as a Pack leader. Healer is going to continue gathering herbs, studying medicine and keeping track of everyone's health. Pup sitter Ancillary is going to continue pup sitting until the pups no longer need her then take up a role as our 3rd chaser until new pups come along. I will be continue to manage the Lower Rankers, leading Hunts as a chaser and getting to know all the pack members.
my job is actually easer now that I don't have pups. However managing all the Lower Rankers, Leading Hunts, and getting to know all the pack members is still a lot to work to do.

Pupsitter Ancillary has gone into heat after Pack Leader. We made sure she knew the wolves before setting her up. She is healthy and full. I hope they are born well. Intrepid was injured with deep wounds and is unable to hunt. Healer Goldenlaw says he has an open wound but he does not have the right herbs to create the correct medicine. This is concerning. Pack leader said she would get the herbs somehow.

Pack Leader was able to trade with another pack to get the herbs for Intrepid. Healer Goldenlaw then proceeded to Heal Intrepid but banned him from hunting another half month Just to be sure. Ancillary was Impregnated by the Breeding Male Acornpelt. Her pups should be born later
