Biography
Ticasuk-gale was born in the Pack of the Waterfall, in Canada near the Alaskan border. When she was born, the pack thought that, since she was born on the first day of the new year and was so beautiful, she must be a gift from the First Wolves. Her mother named her Ticasuk, representing the sacred place where the First Wolves gather their treasures on the wind, such as the gift of knowledge. At the age of six moons, she chose the suffix "-hope" for herself, in keeping with her pack's naming caste of personal qualities. Ticasuk-hope's pack lived in an area ravaged by humans and other factors, with much suffering amongst animals. Her pack was relatively well-off compared to the packs around them and kind, but like many young wolves, she felt the pull to leave. She didn't want to just join another pack, she wanted to forge a dynasty that would change the injustices she saw in the world growing up, and she wanted to live in an area that wasn't so desperate so that she would have the resources she needed to help poorer packs. Also, she had grown annoyed with the way her pride saw her as more special than the others- she wanted a fresh start where she'd be treated like a normal wolf. On her way to new territory in Alaska, Ticasuk met a ghostly she-wolf who called herself Tala. Tala helped her found her pack. Ticasuk chose to dedicate her pack to the wolf godess Læñaranit, the goddess of justice, change, energy, and love. She met Freya soon after. They fell in love and became mates after helping each other pick their new suffixes. Ticasuk picked -gale to represent the freeness, energy, sense of humor and beauty of the wind, as well as her personality being as high-spirited as a gale. Her energy helps to balance Freya-dawn's dedication. Ticasuk-gale is a lesbian so she would never mate with a male wolf out of love, but she used her friend Gria-lightning, a male wolf from a nearby pack called the Pack of Storms, as a sperm donor so she could have a litter of pups. She gave birth to two daughters, Nanurjuk and Isla.
