Rupee

Rupee was born in Requiem Pack deep in the Mountains to mother Batty and father Flicker. She was happy amongst siblings and warm in her den when she was suddenly ripped from her mother. A screaming fight ensued between Batty and Flicker. Rupee couldn't really tell what was going on, but she heard the words "cheat" and "not mine" while her father gestured towards her. Batty looked ashamed and whimpered something under her breath that Rupee couldn't hear. Flicker looked furious and took Batty to his cave. Batty came back that night and told Rupee that they had to leave. When Rupee asked why, Batty simply said Requiem Pack didn't want them anymore. Batty gave her other pups, Rupee's siblings, to another queen, and they fled into the night. They settled elsewhere in the Riparian Woodland, but Batty had gotten a scratch from a thorn while they were travelling. When Rupee touched it, it felt hot and her mother would yowl. Soon after that, Batty was unable to get up and hunt for them. She pleaded with Rupee to go elsewhere and look for a new pack, but she refused to leave her mother's side. Batty was long cold, curled around her daughter, when I found them. Rupee was incredibly malnourished, so I took her to our caves for healing. She stayed with Oriole for a few days until she was back to health. In the meantime, Sparrow and Ibis visited her, eager to see the new pup. Rupee found comfort in Sparrow as a mother and Ibis as a sister, and they quickly became a little family.
