Founder of Spirit's Rose Pack

Shade descends from a long line of alphas back in her home forests. Alpha lineage was matriarchal and given to whichever female alpha pup displayed the strongest control over their magic. Shade was set to be next in line when war broke out between the packs. Her mother descended into madness when she was still an adolescent and despite her best efforts.. She was unable to stop her and gain control of their pack. The war broke her pack and her land apart in short time and she was forced to flee with another young wolf of her pack Juneau, whose loyalty to her packs next leader was unwavering. Together they found a new home and Shade started a new pack. Spirit's Rose, named after their former pack they longed to have back.

During the early days she had a brief whirlwind romance with the wolf who would become their herbalist resulting in her first born sons. Though she loves Benji and Maxwell dearly, she is aware she needs a female pup to continue the lineage and the magic that can protect and preserve their pack for generations to come. After the birth of her sons a new wolf joined the pack and he became their beta. She harbors a secret crush on him despite Smoke trying to win her affections back.

Shade worries she will be unable to guide this new pack as well as she may have back in her homelands. She feels as though she has already failed given that she couldn't save the pack she was destined to lead, despite having been much too young to lead it at the time. But she is determined to bring her customs and magic to this forest, to protect this new pack and preserve the legacy she was born to.

Eventually Shade, concerned with the fact that she had no daughters, had a brief affair with her beta Stark. They both swore secrecy not wanting to hurt Juneau or either of their adult children. During her pregnancy she and Smoke grew closer again and he offered to be their father. From this pregnancy she finally had a daughter.. Three of them actually. Three strong candidates but one stood out during adolescence, Blu. It was easily decided then that Blu would be heir apparent. She was the most like her mother and displayed the strongest control over her magic and seemed to have a natural gift towards leading. Most likely due to her biological parents.. She has not told her daughters who their real father is, only speaking about it in hushed tones with Stark occasionally. He was quite proud it would be his daughter who would lead the pack next.

As the lands changed and the pack grew Shade had an unexpected pregnancy during a time of turmoil for their home while spirits seemed to be roaming the land and causing mischief. She gave birth to a single son, the most like her and Blu and she was quite proud of him. Afterwards she and Smoke finally got together properly and made their bond official. His loyalty to her, her children, and their pack was what finally won her over.

Shade had always made decisions with the pack in mind her heart second. She loves all of her pups dearly but after her first two she picked fathers that she thought would best help her bloodline to continue and bloom. Making sure she had an heir was of the upmost importance to her. She is an alpha first. Wolf second. Though she has noticed this has caused a bit of a rift between her children at times she hopes they can grow to understand that their duty to their pack, and to their bloodline, must always be put first.

Recently she was also blessed with her first set of grandpups from her son Maxwell. She couldn't be more proud of him for finding his own mate and love and finding his place within the pack. She adores his mate Lightning and has since she was adopted into the pack as a young pup.
