With their pups grown he and Shade have grown apart romantically. Though he still pines for her he is uncertain if she will ever return his affections again. So he puts his focus onto his pack and his grown sons. Proud of them for having grown into strong and wonderful hunters. He does his duties and often times is the main teacher of pups and apprentices since everyone else is usually so busy. He loves teaching the little ones about herbs though he has many years left before he will need to take an apprentice it is good practice for all of them.

When Smoke heard rumors of a new pack within the forest he decided to take a chance. He left his pack in the middle of the night and ran off to find this new one. His pack was strong, had many members, he didn't feel like he could really contribute anything. But this new pack? It was small, just starting out, they needed help.. He knew he could be of help.
Eventually he found the tiny pack and was quickly accepted. He stepped into his role as the first herbalist with pride. He quickly began to learn his new role and learn of the traditions and customs of these two strange wolves. He agreed with them and became determined to help bring this pack back to its former glory. Its during this that he fell inlove with the new Alpha Shade.
After a quick whirlwind romance Shade gave birth to their two sons, Benji and Maxwell. Smoke couldn't be more proud of his sons as they grow and learn about the world around them. Though he knows Shade needs a female heir eventually he knows they have plenty of time before that. Though they are not officially mates his love for the strong charming she-wolf grows every day as he watches her lead the pack and their pups. He hopes he can finally truly win over her affections, though he worries the handsome new beta will steal her away.
