Alpha Taak visited the plateau where Witch Shasiek saw them in her dream. The strange-of-scent appeared, male thin and patchy-furred, his mate sleek with health. Though blind from birth she moved with confidence, waving her head to sniff for obstacles. Her stiff-legged walk allowed her bear-like claws to sense rocks and dips, and she rarely stumbled.

Hackles rose when Alpha Khekt announced she would permit the tired stranger to stay along with her mate. Females argued she should be chased off, and her handsome male kept and given a pack-born partner. Khekt refused to back down. She trusted Witch Shasiek's vision. The pack would only succeed in their new desert home if they listened to the wisdom of both creation and destruction.

Lioness discovered a deeper chamber in the cave where lead chaser Kathazia oversees wolves who haven't stayed long enough to be granted a family den. It is difficult to squeeze into, and no one else feels the need to explore it besides her mate Shaper. She summons things which creep and crawl, speaks to them, plays with them, eats them. Pups challenge each other to stare into her creepy eye and wait to see if she notices. Wolves who consider themselves wise engage in debate, trying to understand if there is something to her fascination with death and storms.

At 6 years old she became the dumbest stalker to ever lead an A or B team, much to the displeasure of the pack-born stalkers.
