Hrafn

Name pronounced "hrap(n)"
-means raven in Icelandic

Hrafn was a bit hasty in her decision to transition from male to female when she entered the pack. the change was far faster than she had first thought, and her first litter of puppies was an equally poorly thought out plan. For a little while, she was confused, not really knowing what to do with her life now. Should she ask to transition back? Should she renounce the pups she's already birthed and cared for? She didn't really want to do either of those things, but it ate at her mind nonetheless. She started hunting, awkwardly slotting herself into a hunting group that already knew each other well but saw her as a stranger. It was a rough time in her life.
Then she met Sér, or Sérislenskur as the others usually call him. Something about him just seemed different in a familiar way. A few hunts near each other and a handful of awkward hellos while they were resting with the pack revealed to her that Sér was actually a girl, but somehow it didn't seem like he enjoyed being one. So when one night Hrafn broke away from the pack to get some fresh air on a nice Autumn night and Sér followed her to see how she was doing, the words kind of just tumbled out of her mouth.
"Are you a boy? Like--do you even like being a girl?"
Sér had looked surprised, almost called out.
"I don't know, I usually just try not to think about it. Why?"
Hrafn had clammed up. What could she even say to that? Sometimes it felt like she was in the wrong body before and she's still in the wrong body now, but she could barely describe it to herself, so how could she explain to another wolf?
But Sér had sat with her and waited for her to find the right words. And somehow, she found them. And in turn, Sér had shared some things with her as well.
It's been a while since then, and now the two are happily mated and now with a new adopted puppy! They're both so excited to see how the little pup will grow.
Hrafn was confused but she's not anymore. She may have made a big decision without fully thinking it through, but she thinks she does like how she is now, it just took a little bit of encouragement to show her that.
