Sleepers of the Endless
Brazen and his partner Felicity came to this vast land from humble beginnings. Brazen, ever reliable and kind-hearted, and Felicity, ever adventurous and curious, settled deep in the forest, protected by the thick-trunked trees and having no shortage of estranged wolves willing to join them.
The pack grew quickly, Brazen devoting all of his time to expanding their territory, exploring the world around them, and taking in as many pups as they could. It was fulfilling for a long time, the two founders of the Sleeper Pack watching wolves grow, learn, and create. That is, until Coigreach.
Brazen was no stranger to strange happenings. When he first found himself in the forest, founding his own pack, he grew accustomed to mysterious cryptids and fleeting lunar wolves. He knew that there were other worlds beyond their own. But while he quickly got used to those things, Coigreach was different. When Quany and Sirona forced him to touch that odd trinket and he saw through the memories of another wolf's life so different from his own, he just couldn't get it out of his head.
Felicity noticed the difference immediately. Their usually present leader had grown distant and distracted, his mind swirling with a confusing mixture of thoughts and emotions towards the memories that weren't his own. It was Felicity who offered Brazen the same solution she had offered a thousand times before--to learn.
And so the two of them left the pack for a short time. They walked across what seemed like the whole of the earth, to the cold realms where only the toughest creatures could survive. The sky grew dark above them and the glaciers beneath their claws wobbled dangerously. The stars shone so brightly, and when they came to a stop at the very edge of the world, they could see everything perfectly reflected in the calm and deadly water below. Brazen could see patches of the fur on his face turning gray from old age, although Felicity still shone like a beacon beside him. But after several moments of staring into the water, he began to see other things as well.
Asher, Danny, Beltane, and so many near-forgotten pups, wolves that they both thought were long dead swirled in perfect images just barely out of reach. He wanted so desperately to reach out and grab them, to save them from the water and bring them home. Only Felicity's calm presence and the solemn shake of her head kept him from leaping in after them. They were gone, and it would not be right to mess with the natural way of things, or to be lost to the freezing water himself and leave so many others waiting for his return.
When he had calmed himself and looked out further across the endless expanse, he could see more. Wolves that he had never seen before, and others that he had seen only in passing, others who had passed on just like members from his own pack had. And not far away, he thought he caught just the slightest glimpse of the same group of frail little puppies he had seen in the lost mother's memories. To honor them all, he howled, him and Felicity both, a beautiful song of loss and mourning, but also of new life and perseverance through memories.
They didn't expect anything to happen, or for anyone to hear their song and respond to it, but when they were done and ready to turn back and reunite with their pack, another howl answered theirs. A wolf came out of the water, more akin to a spirit than anything Brazen had seen before, even in the lunar lands. With a strange wispiness to her voice and a too-wide grin, she called herself Draumur, and she was going to change the Sleeper Pack's lives forever.

-Any future leader must have a black full mask marking and be named by an adjective as tradition to honor Brazen
-Acanthite, realgar, and saffron wolves are named after their respective LoZ characters until a Link can be found
-Inbred wolves are not to be bred for ethical reasons but are still honored members of the pack
-NBW's and merle wolves typically become pupsitters, but this isn't always the case
