Ronal

Name: Ronal (row-nahl - gets very annoyed if pronounced wrong.)
Background: Ronal prefers not to discuss his childhood, having a strong distaste for both of his parents. His father was a fearsome and nasty creature, and his mother's behavior often reviled him. Determined to rise above how he and others percieved them, Ronal did his best to behave in a more dignified manner, and got into the habit of tearing others down to bring himself up. By adolesence, the young wolf was already itching to get away, and took the very first opportunity that presented itself. A young pup had gone missing, and, bravely volunteering to use his considerable skill to bring him home safely, Ronal took off into the wilderness.

Personality: Ronal thinks very highly of himself and his abilites, regardless of whether it is justified or not. He is easily offended if others do anything he perceives as disrespectful or dismissive of him and his accomplishments. On top of this, he has a nasty habit of looking down on others, perhaps to make himself feel better by comparison. His is often the first critical voice, much to the irritation of those around him. Despite this Ronal does give his best effort to whatever task is placed before him, though he is very quick to hide his mistakes. Not a particularly large or intimidating wolf, Ronal relies more often on his respectable wits than anything else.

Log:
Year 1, Autumn

• Ronal locates the wayward pup, but instead of leading him back he takes a detour to investigate the new scent of Kronor's nearby territory markings. Knowing this is his chance to escape his old pack, Ronal quickly rushes the younger pup back home, but does not follow him back into the territory, instead turning around and heading back to Highrange.
• Ronal summons and presents himself to Kronor, making sure to tout his abilites as often as possible. Happy for any assistance with his fledgling pack, Kronor accepts him, though suspects the 8 month old is stretching the truth a bit.
• Ronal and Deyra begin to rub each other the wrong way - Ronal percieves her as a foolish brute while envying her physical abilities - and she has no patience for his arrogance. He also has little patience for Araya, the younger pups, and Armon. He often takes Armon's calmness as arrogance, and believes that the strange wolf thinks he is better than him. The only packmates he seems to take any interest in at all are Kronor and Serana - who he seeks to prove himself to.

Year 1, Winter

• Ronal becomes a yearling and the pack's first official scout.

Year 1, Spring

• Ronal discovers Yuna, starving and alone on the tundra. Her strange collar intrigues him, and her knowledge of the area proves invaluable. Ronal shares some of his food with her, and on his return trip to Highrange, he invites her along.
