Kodiak and Emmonak, the pack's scouts, came across the ruins of a pack out on the barren wastes of the glacier. With all the adults dead from starvation, all that remained were a handful of pups cowering near the corpses of their mothers. Forced to make a heartbreaking decision, Kodiak and Emmonak took only the strongest pups that they could carry between them back to the pack. One of those lucky pups happened to be Elowyn, who is adored by her adoptive parents Juneau and Emmonak.
