When she was young, Kahli belonged to a pack that frequently attacked nearby farmer's cattle and sheep. One day, the farmers grew tired of them, leading a hunting expedition into the woods to find and kill them all. Kahli made it out alive, but she does not know what happened to her packmates.
Though still breathing, she was injured and exhausted by the time she collapsed in the mountains to sleep. She awoke to a gentle nuzzle from a wolf much larger than her, with fur the color of snow. She called herself Beja, and she was determined to get Kahli back in fighting shape.
Kahli was very grateful for this, the two becoming good friends. Not knowing whether she even had anything to go back to in the plains, Kahli decided to stay and help Beja build her pack.
Already knowing a thing or two about hunting, it was Kahli that took charge of the hunters. They have endured many injuries and fruitless hunts, but their determination has paid off as their experience grew.
