Allura's life has been a series of turmoils, which seems hard to believe at her young age. She comes from a distant land, a land that she misses dearly. Her whole family is there, her friends, her lover. Her kingdom she had the right to rule.
But through a series of mistakes and trying to protect the ones she loved, she made a pact with the same entity as Nessus- Asmodeus. And he decided that she needed to work on a different part of his grand plan, one that was far away from the home she knew. Nessus couldn't rule forever, and Asmodeus had bigger plans for them, so Allura was tasked with taking over this pack once they step down.
She still doesn't understand how this could be more important than protecting the land she came from.
Maybe this is what she was always destined to do.
Maybe this is some sort of grand cosmic punishment.
