Moody

Please read the rules before taking Moody, if these aren't followed I will recall him (if I need to do so for another reason I will try to message why!):

— Please teach Moody some manners on how to be a better wolf! Currently he's dishonest but he needs to learn to change.
— Please return to his pack at 2 years old, otherwise he might decide to leave of his own accord to return home.
— Please don't change his markings, name, bio written by anyone but you, sex, or base, etc, his parents love him just the way he is. You may likely be blocked/prevented from hosting any of my other wolves in future if you do not follow this particular rule.
-- Moody prefers a chaser role - if you want to put him in roles/apprenticeships he'll flourish as a chaser!
— Feel free to use decor if you want!
— Please don't keep longer than 7 RO if you can help it. If he is being neglected I will recall him.
— He is not breedable at the moment, but if he makes a particularly strong connection here or there he may return to traveling when a bit older to kindle long lost romances! (Message me if you're interested in this!)
— Please add what lore you can to Moody's bio. My pack have extensive lore — feel free to read their bios or the Loopis Pack Lore records.

Atka and Kodiak tried - really tried - with their first born and only surviving pup, Noorvik, but the boy turned out dishonest and unsavory. Having reluctantly chased him from the pack, Atka felt the familiar ache of loss setting into her bones. That was until Koyuk found a pup - half frozen solid in the winter snows and near death - and brought him home. That was enough for Atka, who convinced her stoic mate that they needed this - a second chance, a shot at redemption, at raising a pup that didn't hate them, especially as her womb remained empty. Skeptically, he agreed, and they named the little bundle of bones Moody.

It was when Moody turned an adolescent that Kodiak began to worry. He displayed the same red flags that Noorvik had, but he had been too blind to see. Heart sinking, he pulled the young pup to one side.

"You're loosing your way," he murmured softly. "This isn't what your mother and I wanted for you. You're better than this, I know it."

The young pup's ears flattened. His eyes skirted away to watch his mother fussing over his younger brother at the mouth of The Thicket. He wanted to apologize, to promise he would do better, but he doubted it would make much difference. Tears stung at his eyes. "Will you send me away?"

His father was silent for a moment. "I don't want you to go, no."

"But?"

"But you need to learn something I fear I - nor your mother - can teach you. Something you can only learn from the harshness of life, of the depravity of others… things we have protected you from for too long, it seems."

His mother wept as he left, but he promised he would be back, a better wolf, and grown too. He would not disappear like Noorvik.

As Moody crested the hill, he glanced back at his pack one last time before they disappeared completely from sight, his eyes locking with that of his father. With a slight nod, he knew what Kodiak meant - be good, be brave, and come home.

Lore: His first journey took him deep into the forest. It was a land of plenty, where the game was fat and easy to take down. He came across a moderately sized pack and was allowed to remain with them, but had to work in exchange. There were many mouths to feed, and all paws were useful. Helping the herbalist organize her plants, apprenticing with the hunters, tending to the needs of the pups, there was much the young wolf learned.

Lore: Moody still didn't fully understand what his parents had wanted him to learn. Despite staying with two previous packs that were not his own, he felt he'd learned very little. Then one day his journey bore him deep into the heart of the swamp. Here the night skies were lost to the branches of thick ancient trees, and he met a pack whom slept amongst its gnarled roots. Vi was Alpha to an ancient pack, known as Airn Aizle.. Their history seemed to stretch on generations, and Moody wondered if they could teach him the lessons that he couldn't learn back home. Vi was a harsh Alpha, but fair. When Moody began to be dishonest with her, she struck back, dealing him a damaging blow and told him to mind his tongue and manners. The harshness of reality began to seep in, and Moody spent the remaining night trembling in fear of further assault. None came, but by morning, tired and cold and without sleep, he decided he'd had enough and quickly fled the pack.

Lore: Moody was initially wary of the pack of the Owls after the last pack he stayed in, but lucky they treated him warmly. They were a rather large pack situated in a mountain ravine and Moody enjoyed playing with all the pups there.
