Waspflight

Waspflight is a skilled hunter, but he is known to eat his fill of whatever he catches and stash extra in the woods before bringing food back to the pack, easily coming up with an excuse for why each and every time. So far, he's gone unchallenged.


Waspflight left his pack as a young adolescent. He spent his first few months starving and scared, but never once considered going back. Without any experience or knowledge, he could not catch prey easily. His discovery of a yellowjacket nest and the nutritious larvae inside yielded his first, desperate meal since leaving his pack. Waspflight began his life as a scavenger, stealing prey from other predators when he could. As he grew older, he realized other wolves made the best mark: they easily fell for lies and trickery. He'd been injured by a mountain lion when he came across Quailchaser, attempting to get her to leave behind her freshly-buried stash of prey and herbs by alerting her to human hunters just behind him. She left, but, not entirely trusting the word of a strange wolf, met with Brambledusk then circled back around and caught no scent or sign of humans anywhere. Quailchaser managed to track him back to his den; exhausted and injured, he had not taken many precautions to hide his scent. Upon discovering that he was injured, Brambledusk insisted that Quailchaser allow him to treat Waspflight. She was unhappy with the wolf who had tricked and stolen from her, but she respected the herbalist's wishes. He grew close to the pack's hunters easily, and Quailchaser uneasily allowed him to stay after he proved himself a capable stalker.
