Quailscar

Of Quailchaser's second surviving litter, and first litter with Coyotescar. Quailscar is an anxious wolf, and being the founder of Lassen Pack's daughter, the eyes of every member of the pack were on her. She never works well under pressure. Eventually she found kinship with her hunting group and became a chaser, traveling far from snooping packmates on a daily basis. On one of her outings, she bumped into Cowbane after running terrified from a strange noise in the woods. He stopped her and calmed her down, and once she relaxed enough to realize who he was, she remembered the way his sister spoke with him, and nervously made a gesture she thought conveyed her gratitude.
Cowbane was clearly pleased by the small effort, and Quailscar was instantly charmed by the withdrawn wolf. They began to meet in the woods more often, and their private language became a second tongue to Quailscar.
