Sunshine was the first wolf befriended and brought into Nightglow by Pack Leader Vixen, he is also the pack's breeding male. He fathered Vixen's first set of pups and was instructed by her to protect them as their Pupsitter. He was resistant at first, preferring hunting to childcare, but quickly got over it, falling into the role of Pupsitter and father.
Sunshine soon found himself in the role of Senior Pupsitter when Saffron joined him. They split the work and were able to protect the pups well.
Eventually another new pupsitter was brought in, Blizzard. He would come to Sunshine for pupsitting tips but soon seemed to find any random reason to come by. Sunshine found this endearing and they fell in love and became mates. They soon started adopting pups of their own from the enclave.
