Mentor: Marcela & Eira
Hasse had a hard time distinguishing between nearly identical berries. In her opinion, it was impossible to make such a decision as quickly as Marcela wanted, but she explained that paying attention to detail was a must for an herbalist. Marcela explained to Hasse how wet fur is not a good idea, especially in the winter. She demonstrated how to find rocks and dry patches to cross a creek or a river instead of swimming across it. Hasse listened carefully to Eira's lecture about how biting and tussling aren't allowed during teamwork. That was a bit disappointing, but Hasse was ready for the hard work. Eira examined Hasse's technique while she chased a young stoat. The young pup kept getting discouraged, but she will learn that failures are a part of the lesson.

Marcela passed away when was 5 months old, at a time when she was almost an adolescent. She had formed a bond with her very independent mentor whom she had learned to rely on when her mother was busy with other matters.
