Sparrow

Sparrow lived in the Grasslands where her pack, Wild Wind Pack, dug tunnels to chase rabbits and other burrowing creatures. She's wily and fast, with the long legs and sandy fur of her ancestors. She is also the daughter of the Wild Wind Pack's leader, Sky Scream. She fell deeply in love with a member of the pack, Clear Sky Pack, on the other side of the river, and they became mates. Sparrow was pregnant with his pups when her leader found out. Immediately, he launched an attack on Clear Sky Pack, believing them to have violated his daughter. Her packmates held her back by tooth and claw while she was forced to watch her father kill her mate in cold blood. After this, she ran away, never wishing to see a member of Wild Wind Pack again. She had her puppies in the Deciduous Forest, but they were all stillborn. I found her curled under a bush on the verge of death. Three small piles of fresh dirt lay around her, and I suddenly understood what had happened. She hadn't eaten or drank in days, so I carried her to our cave. We nursed her back to health, but she will never have the bright outlook and demeanor she had in her former pack. Sparrow has vowed to never have another mate, but she did find children in Ibis, Rupee, and Finch. Although they were all from different packs, they look to Sparrow as their mother. She finds satisfaction in being a hunter for our pack, specifically a chaser. Her speed and ability to take sharp corners aid her in hunting, and she has skills none of the others in Volantes have. I love Sparrow, and I'm glad she's found happiness here. Sparrow mated with Shrike and has had five pups. Her daughters are Eider and Pairie, and her sons are Bonapartian, Auk, and Nuthatch.
