Eriophyllum Wallacei -- Rayflower I of the Asteraceae
Known for her quick speed and selfish wit, it's no wonder that the exiled Woolly Daisy from the Mountains managed to rally a loose band of rogue wolves to make their way down the cliffs into the inhospitable desert, where she now resides. Completely undeterred in taking what she wants, when she wants it, Wallace made a comfortable home for herself among the desert canyons.
Upon arrival, it was understood that there would be no establishment of a formal pack, and therefore no formal hierarchy. Regardless, many came to respect Wallace's decision-making ability and often turned to her for direction, and so she steadily emerged as the unofficial leader of her peers.
After six prosperous seasons in the canyons, Wallace was courted by her ever dedicated follower, Bigelow, whom she frequently sent on distant scouting missions due to his suffocating loyalty to her. But despite her obvious exasperation toward him, his absolute devotion to her stroked her voracious ego, which--caught at the right moment--made him seem the perfect mate.
The two produced their first litter of two late one winter in between his scouting trips.
