Coreopsis Bigelovii -- Discflower I of the Asteraceae
Exceedingly clever and knowledgeable, Bigelow is so known for his extreme loyalty that he would find new and innovative ways to insistently suck up to his superiors -- to this day, he is the only known wolf from his pack to have been exiled for being overly annoying. But soon enough, he found a new figure to latch on to: another exiled wolf named Wallace. Along with a loose band of other rogue wolves, he followed her down into their new residence in the desert canyons, clinging fiercely to her side, even through her most questionable decisions.
But she too became quickly irritated by his clingy devotion to her. Although there was no formal pack created upon arrival into the canyons, he stayed close by her heel, awaiting any and every order that she may throw in his direction. It wasn't too long before she began sending him on long, distant scouting missions that would keep him away from her for extended periods of time.
However, either Bigelow didn't know how to take a hint, or he refused to. He took his scouting missions very seriously, and made sure to return every few days to report his findings of the surrounding territories extensively to his idol, only to be sent away again. But perhaps it was exactly this undying dedication to her that scratched a very specific, lonely itch in her soul, and eventually she began to open up to him in between his missions.
Then, one spring, he returned to the canyons to find that she had given birth to two puppies--that is, two of his puppies.
